On Saturday 28th October, Holyhead was taken over by monsters, witches, aliens, zombies and creatures of the dark for a terrifically terrifying event. Organised by Holyhead Community Events Group, Halloween Fun and Games was attended by over 200 local residents. Activities included pumpkin carving, mummifying, a spooky disco and cake decorating, with the highlight of the day being a performance of Michael Jacksons Thriller followed by lessons from the local dance academy.
There was a competition for the best dressed with the lucky winner taking away a spooky treat. Everyone dressed-up for the occasion, even neighbours and granny's managed a fright.
The Local Conversation in Holyhead is funded by People's Health Trust, using money raised by HealthDiverse through The Health Lottery. The Local Conversation programme is a flexible, resident-led funding model driven by what local people want. Through the programme, residents are supported to identify and take action on issues that are important to them.
