Why did you come to Môn CF?

I’d been applying for jobs for around six months, but I felt like I was getting nowhere. One of the positions I applied for at this time was within Môn CF, but although I got through to the interview stage I was unfortunately unsuccessful. Through my research for the interview, however, I had a good understanding of what Môn CF could offer in terms of employment support, so I signed up for help from the ‘In-Work’ project.

Did you do any training?

No. I was made aware of the training opportunities available to me, but I already had experience in administration and ended up moving into work quite quickly after starting with Môn CF.

Did you do any volunteering or work experience?

No. When I signed up for the ‘In-Work’ project I was allocated a Mentor who helped me to edit and update my CV and made me aware of vacancies that she thought might suit me. I saw an advert for a Receptionist in Anglesey Outdoors on Facebook, and my Mentor emailed me about it the same day – great minds! I was offered an interview for the role, and I felt really positive about it.

What are you doing now?

My interview went well, and I’m now the Receptionist at Anglesey Outdoors. There are lots of exciting changes happening here at the moment and there’s lots to learn, but I’m loving the challenge and I’m slowly finding my way. I’ve got lots of questions but everyone here is so friendly and helpful, and I’m settling in great.

What do you think is the best thing about Môn CF?

I would definitely recommend Môn CF to anyone looking for work. They keep you up-to-date with all of the latest vacancies in your area, and they go the extra mile to help you.
