The Active Inclusion fund is managed by Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) supported by funding from European Structural Funds. It aims to reduce economic inactivity in Wales and improve the employability of disadvantaged people furthest from the labour market.

Active Inclusion enables us to work with people who do not reside in Community First designated wards, this means that Mon CF is now able to offer employment support to residents throughout the Isle of Anglesey.

Through the Active Inclusion project we are able to assist people aged 18 - 24 who are not in education or employment. Additional people who are eligible are those aged 25 or over who have been on Jobseekers Allowance or Universal Credit for 12 months continuously or those who are economically inactive.

We have a dedicated team of experienced and motivated people ready and able to support job seekers into their chosen careers. If you need that extra bit of help or just don’t know how to go about looking for work, we can help you. We do more than just give people CVs – we are all about looking at each person’s potential, assessing where they would like to be and making that journey as straight forward and painless as possible. We devote a lot of time and effort in getting to know people, building up trust and respect which then enables us to tailor our support to meet each person’s individual needs and goals. As part of our support we look at developing each individual’s skills, experiences, qualifications and work experience to the point where they are ready for the next step – into a paid job. We do the practical things like:

  • design CVs
  • help with application forms
  • source information on jobs
  • prepare individuals for interviews
  • book training courses
  • arrange volunteering and work placements
  • talk to employers
  • address transport and child care barriers
  • and much, much more

We are constantly talking to local employers, large and small and it is these contacts and relationships which count when we are looking to open doors for our clients.

So if you, or someone you know, want that extra bit of help, advice and support to find the right job then our Employment Support Team is here to help.
